LongCat-2.5 launches on Meituan's API at $0.30 input
A 1.6T multimodal coding model with a 1M context, at a limited-time $0.30 input and $1.20 output. No weights yet.
Meituan's LongCat team made LongCat-2.5 available on the LongCat API Platform on November 2, 2026, a day after publishing its technical post. It follows LongCat-2.5-Preview, which the platform added on September 25.
What changed
- LongCat-2.5 is a mixture-of-experts model with 1.6 trillion total parameters and about 48 billion activated per token. It reads images and text as tokens in one backbone and is aimed at long-horizon agentic coding.
- The API model ID is
LongCat-2.5, with a 1M-token context window and a maximum output of 128K tokens. - It is served in OpenAI format (
https://api.longcat.chat/openai,/v1/chat/completions) and Anthropic format (https://api.longcat.chat/anthropic,/v1/messages). The changelog says it works with Claude Code, Codex and Hermes. - Temperature is fixed:
1.0with thinking enabled and0.7with thinking disabled. Other values are overridden. - No LongCat-2.5 weights were on Meituan's Hugging Face organization as of November 2. LongCat-2.0 weights are there.

What to do
- Treat the $0.30 and $1.20 rates as promotional. LongCat says the prices on its platform and in your billing records are authoritative.
- Do not tune
temperaturein tests. Switchthinkingon or off instead, since that is what sets the value. - Plan self-hosting only once Meituan publishes LongCat-2.5 weights and a license.
