Tencent Hy4 launches with vision and computer use, weights to follow
Same price as Hy4 Preview, half off on TokenHub through December 31.
Tencent released Hy4, the latest generation of its Hy (Hunyuan) large language model, on November 4, 2026. It adds image understanding and computer use for the first time. Tencent says the weights and system cards will follow "in the coming days".
What changed
- Hy4 is the full release after Hy4 Preview. Tencent lists visual understanding (charts, fine-grained images, visual math) and computer use across command-line and graphical interfaces as new.
- Tencent says Hy4 keeps Hy4 Preview's API price: about $0.90 input, $2.70 output and $0.045 cached input per million tokens.
- Tencent Cloud TokenHub charges 50% of the standard Hy4 price through December 31, 2026.
- Hy4 is on Tencent Cloud TokenHub and Tencent's WorkBuddy, CodeBuddy, Yuanbao and ima apps. Tencent says the API is also being made available on third-party platforms including OpenRouter, Hermes and OpenCode.
- Weights are not out yet. Tencent also says a cheaper Hy4 Flash is coming soon.
